I hope you have been keeping well through these extremely challenging times. I’ve been a little quiet recently but have continued to communicate on Facebook where I hope my daily posts inspire one or two of you.
I’ve been listening to lots of podcasts too, including:
Happy Place – Fearne Cotton
How to Wow – Chris Evans
Jay Shetty – On Purpose
Elizabeth Day – How to Fail
Cariad Lloyd – Griefcast
They’re all free on Spotify. Go there and key them in. They include a variety of conversations on all kinds of subjects.
I ran an online ‘Be Kind to Yourself‘ Course recently and feedback from one attendee was lovely to hear. It turns out that we are all drawing on our capacity for resilience and inner strength right now:
Yvette is a gentle, empathic person who makes you feel relaxed at each session. She provides helpful techniques on mindfulness, meditation, gratitude, ways to find joy and much more. The course is value for money with lots of resources to take away to practice daily in life. The course encourages you to slow down and take time out for yourself as an act of self care. Thank you Yvette for reminding me of the importance of being kind to myself.
So do be kind to yourself in these extraordinary times. It could be a good opportunity to ‘know yourself’ more deeply. Journaling is one way to do this alongside meditation. This little video might inspire you. Winter Solstice is traditionally a time for letting go of the old and stepping into the new.
Wishing you well during the deep midwinter and peace and joy for Christmas!
