Supercharge with Mindful Time Out
Step off the Treadmill for Mindful Time Out
We all need to step off the treadmill and take mindful time out.
We need stillness in order to get perspective and let go of all the stuff in our heads that’s surplus to requirements.
- Physically we need rest
- Mentally we need rest
- Emotionally we need rest
Schedule in something that will replenish and recharge you.
Whether it’s some daily mindful meditation practice, chi kung, yoga or dancing. Those activities that nourish your sense of fun as well as access a sense of peace.
Your mindful time out is uniquely yours to choose!
Let It Go!
A Morning of Retreat is a perfect break on a practical level. Search online for classes or a workshop that incorporates something inspiring or new. A short workshop provides enough space to set everything else to one side and catch up with the ‘ancient peace’ that is there, waiting to be accessed.
And a key aspect of this is ‘letting go’.
This starts from the moment you decide to book something that might feel out of your comfort zone.
Let go of the same old thing.
Do something by yourself and for yourself. It might possibly be something you’ve never tried before.
Notice how one letting go leads to another new grasping – expectations about what this new experience will be or what you hope it will be.
Let go of those expectations!
Let go of the fear!
How do you Take Mindful Time Out?
To take time out, of course, can mean anything.
It could be a bungee jump or a day out with friends.
You might enjoy a long soak in the bath or watch a movie.
But look out for the fact that often we take time out and what we’re really doing is running away. As humans we have a tendency to replace one form of busy-ness with another.
And it stays superficial – we don’t touch on the deeper level that’s within us. It’s not necessarily mindful time out.
Connect with your Deeper Self
An opportunity to experience this:
When you feel totally serene and at peace, you are powerful, for no one can upset or influence you.

Perspective
I always like this quote:
A small trouble is like a pebble. Hold it too close to your eye and it fills the whole world and puts everything out of focus. Hold it at a proper distance and it can be examined and properly classified. Throw it at your feet and it can be seen in its true setting, just one more tiny bump on the pathway to life.
~ Celia Luce
So give yourself a break, let go of expectations from others and from yourself.
Take some joyous mindful time out and get life into perspective again.
