Get out of your head and into your heart space
You have the choice to stop and spend a few moments focusing on your breath. Then you shift from the busy and usually automatic head space to the intuitive, softer heart space.
Compassion and kindness come from the heart. It’s possible to move down from the busy head space into your heart space and allow yourself to feel emotions.
A lot of the time, we don’t allow ourselves to feel emotions!
It’s common to find humans suppressing emotions because we view them as weak or getting in the way of work. It’s good to gain a balance – neither being ruled by heart or mind, but a wise alignment of both.
When you regularly sit in mindful meditation you are making a powerful choice to slow down the mind’s chatter. Through stillness and calm you can balance your over-thinking mind.
As Osho says,
‘Get out of your head and get into your heart. Think less, feel more.’
