5 Simple Stress-busting Tips

Everyone’s lives are uniquely different, but here are 5 simple stress-busting tips you can adapt to suit your kind of day.
Remember that you have a treasure-trove to choose from:
1. Take time out — minutes
Add spaciousness by stopping for a minute to focus on your breath. Breathe deeply into your abdomen and ground yourself with the presence of your whole body. Notice the difference this makes to how you feel.
You can do this throughout your day to help you stay in charge of the threat of overwhelm. Stress-busting tips such as this take less than a minute, yet allows you to gather your scattered thoughts.
2. Share the load — delegate 
It’s not always possible, but working alongside others or asking for support, can be fun and productive.
Remember to ask!

Emotional concerns can feel like a heavy burden. Find someone you trust to talk to. Notice how this helps lighten the load.
4. Centre yourself
Bring awareness to your heart. Breathe deeply and visualise yourself being centred, balanced and still. From your heart space bring in qualities of compassion and love. This is very different from the mind that is making constant demands of you.
5. Tap into beauty 
It’s all around you!
Take a second to glance out of the window and check the colour of the sky, listen to a blackbird outside or pause to look into someone’s eyes and notice the sparkle there!
These are all mindful moments of appreciation that can bust a stressful feeling.
