Hello, I'm beginning my first ever blog thinking it would be nice to let you know what is happening at Place of Serenity when you don't have the chance to be here. We are at this very moment making a woodland path to meander around a woodland space which we've created. (No, not me exactly - a higher creative power than me!) We've been aiming to plant native species of woodland plants and shrubs and the idea is that it will be a tranquil walking space open to anyone visiting Place of Serenity. Andrew is the one with all the knowledge about the plants so at the moment I only can confirm absolutely that there is a beautiful but shy little Rowan tree out there. I know this as I was lucky enough to celebrate Lunasagh on Friday 31st August, which was a beautiful walk into Kingley Vale Yew Forest with stories and knowledge-sharing by Jonathan Huet. We all carried a branch of Rowan with us because when carried in any form it's said to give protection. Anyway, I'll get back to you about the woodland walk, and simply end with a happy thought of blue skies,
