I just couldn't resist returning to Kingley Vale today. I'd been there on Sunday for a wild, wet and windy walk, which was fabulous. Today, two days later, the weather was completely different - an amazing clear blue sky, a wisp of wind and sunshine sparkling off the sea and dappling through the trees. Today I caught the smell of summer. I got to the top, where the barrows give you a view of the world, and today I could see it! So just take heart, another day can be so very different. It's ok when we can't see things clearly, and it's great when we can!

Then today I had to rush past all the Valentines' clobber to get to the sock department. I spent a small fortune on socks for my teenage sons. I don't mind really, socks last slightly longer than chocolate hearts.
