By road:
The main route to Place of Serenity is from the A3 where you exit the junction signposted Buriton. This is one junction south of Petersfield, Hampshire. Follow the main road into the village of Buriton. At the mini-crossroads, take the turning opposite the pub The Master Robert Inn, which is Kiln Lane.
Place of Serenity is a mile and a half along Kiln Lane, which becomes New Barn Lane. Drive up the hill under the railway bridge, follow the right-hand fork, where you will see a sign labelled 'New Barn Lane'. This will appear as 'Newbarn Road' in your Sat Nav or Ordnance Survey Map, so just go on here past a cluster of houses, up along the country lane, past fields until the road takes a right-hand bend. On the left is the Forestry Commission sign for Head Down and immediately opposite on your right is Place of Serenity. Enter through the gates and parking is readily available. It is a 10 minute drive from Petersfield.
By train:
Our nearest mainline station is Petersfield British Rail Station on the London Waterloo - Portsmouth Line. You can then catch a taxi for the 10 minute drive from the station to Place of Serenity.
Please note: Mobile reception is poor/non-existent out here!
As you drive along the road to us, look out for deer, badgers, rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and owls!
